Dosage
CHILDREN
The safety and effectiveness of Carafate in children have not been established.
ADULTS
Maintenance Therapy:
The usual dose is 1 gram (1 tablet) 2 times a day.
Active Duodenal Ulcer:
The usual dose is 1 gram (1 tablet or 2 teaspoonfuls of suspension) 4 times a day on an empty stomach.
Overdose
Reported Carafate overdose symptoms are:
